The cans were full to the brim with paper. Between the packaging from the toys that Caroline received and the paper I cleared out while cleaning the house, it was quite a sight. Now there are still some boxes in the garage but I think I am going to wait until the next paper pick up for those. We have a great set of guys who work for the sanitation department and I really don’t want them to think of this house as the house of paper.

I braved the post office to post the last package that needs to get some where before Christmas. I was lucky. I got a prime parking spot in front of the post office and there was only one person in front of me. She had a number of packages going overseas and to Canada but she had all her paperwork in order so that didn’t take too long. One of the best December post office visits in a while. By the time I left there was a line. So five minutes would have made a big difference.

Today is all about getting the house ready for the holidays and cleaning up the corners. I also need to start to seriously think about my 101 in 1001. I am looking at other peoples lists to get ideas for the structure.

I am grateful for the good manners I saw being used on the Internet yesterday during a rather heated discussion that did NOT dissolve into a flaming.

Yesterday I put out three large garbage cans and a bunch of boxes for recycling today.
