And Happy Samhain to those who celebrate that holiday.
Made it through Halloween intact. Now for the clean up which will take a chunk of today and tomorrow. Thursday is my day to help out at the school. I don’t think we are going anywhere this next weekend but I may be wrong.
NaNoWriMo starts today and I will be starting after I post this. I think I know which idea I am going with. I may have to sit down with Peter and remember how I worked it out since this was one that I outlined in my head over a year ago.
So that’s my day in a nutshell.
I am grateful that the children of the neighborhood had such a good time last night.

And probably 6 people will get that title and half of those will be living in Atlanta.
We did see snow falling but there is nothing on the ground this morning and any water is water not ice on our driveway. So plans for today will go forward which included putting up the decorations, gathering the comics to give away, and going pumpkin picking which we have done since Caroline was almost 11 months old. I have a picture in the same pumpkin patch every year since.
Tomorrow is all about getting ready for the trick or treaters that will be coming by. We have candy for the ones that might come by today however the comics come out tomorrow.
Then Tuesday is All Souls day and the beginning of that insanity of trying to write a novel in a month. Yes, I am participating.
Lots going on here at Casa David. Not much I can talk about at this point but over the next couple of months, as we get clearance, I’ll talk about the various projects.
Have a Happy and Safe Halloween everyone.
I am grateful for the lack of snow on the ground right now.

Oh the weather outside is frightful and the inside is becoming more delightful as I clean the downstairs.
Cardinals win the World Series. The game might not have been exciting as the 6th game but it still was a solid game of baseball with everything on the line.
I lost a filling during dinner last night while eating chicken so I now have a hole in my head in the back molar. A little bit painful but, knock wood, not temperature sensitive so the root is not exposed at this point. So I know what I am doing part of Monday.
Which makes Sunday very very busy since I have to finish the prep for Halloween assuming I am spending a while in the dentist’s chair on Monday.
This is assuming that this weather pattern moves on and I can decorate tomorrow.
If not I do have a plan B.
I am going to be so glad to get to Tuesday.
However Tuesday is the beginning of the Novel writing month so this blog is going to be a bit erratic. I plan on Crafty Tuesday but know that silence doesn’t mean anything has gone horribly wrong or awesomely right rather I am focusing my writing to another purpose.
I am grateful that my tooth isn’t sensitive.

This past summer Caroline went with Peter to watch the recording of his next episode of Young Justice. While there she met Kelly Hu who is the voice of Stacy on Phineas and Ferb and Lady Deathstrike in X-2. Kelly was at the recording because on Young Justice she is Cheshire who is a villain in the YJ universe. Kelly and Caroline got along really well and Caroline came home and announced that she wanted to be Cheshire for Halloween.
I waited for a while to make sure that that was her final answer on Halloween. But it stayed all through August and September.
Now yesterday night was the Harvest Dance at her school. The kids show up in costume but heaven forefend we should call it the Halloween Dance. I did dress up in my X-men First Class uniform and took Lockheed with me. I got rated cool by both children and parents who recognized the outfit. Caroline was impressing the older kids and scaring the younger ones and having a blast. Anyway, I had to have draft one of her costume done by the dance. Having had it at the dance, we found out a few things I need to fix by Monday for Trick or treating.
So this past week has been costuming. Behind the cut are photos of Caroline’s costume, the making of the Mask, and a photo of the character it is based on.
I am grateful that the costume went over as well as it did.

Since my child’s school needs my help with the book fair and I am working on Caroline’s costume that must be done by Thursday Afternoon. So when I get back I’ll have an in depth of how I made Caroline’s costume and probably too many more books.
Be excellent to each other.
I am grateful that I have the time to help out at the school.
