And here is what I got done.

These puppets have a lot of hand sewing in them so the bodies take a while to put together.
(for the VI: This is the back of my red, green, and gold striped couch. There are four pink puppet bodies on display.)

The heads before I pulled the fabric around the “skull”. Looks like they are upchucking fabric
(for the VI: These are three green foam puppet head with pink fabric extending from their mouths.)
Today Phluzzies, Calots, and Bears…Oh My.
I am grateful that the grand scheme to get Ariel back to college worked.

Here is the photograph of what I did yesterday.

(for the VI: this is my red, green, and gold pattern striped couch on which are puppets and puppet pieces. Across the back of the couch from left to right is our Official stuffed Snoopy we got a SDCC and it lives in the living room if one needs to hug something soft. To the right of Snoopy are the bodies that I completed yesterday. Blue head and arms and purple middle, all blue body, a second blue head and arms and purple middle, a mottled light brown body, and an all white body. Under them are four pink head and neck “skins”. On the couch are four green foam heads, four pink torso pieces, eight arms cut out and ready to be turned and stuffed, and one green foam torso.)
Today I need to make three more foam torsos. Finish turning the cloth into puppet bodies. Sew together all three Phluzzies I have left to make. Then sew the bear or cut out the Calot to sew tomorrow.
Progress was made but more needs to happen today. I’ll be back tomorrow with a photo of what I made today.
Hope you are enjoying this because this is the next week and a half of my life.
Peter and Caroline had lots of fun at ComiConn yesterday. Today they are moving Ariel back to her college.
I am grateful that I was able to get so much done in a day.

And I have a weekend to myself to work since Peter and Caroline have gone off to ComiConn for today and are helping Ariel move tomorrow.
So to keep myself honest as to where I really am, I am going to post a picture of where I am at the beginning and the end of the day.
Here is where I am now.

(for the VI: on the left is a big old pile of fabric of many colors and on the right are green foam “skulls” and bodies for the puppets)
And tomorrow I will post a picture as to what I get done.
I did find my missing Doctor. He had run off. I also found Jack, Sarah Jane, and the Delgado version of the Master. Needed all those too.
Now I have to repair and build.
I am grateful that I found #6 because I was NOT looking forward to recreating that doggone coat.

Ariel got a position as an RA at her college which is a good thing for her. However it does put a bit of a spanner in the weekend that we finally sorted out. Peter has a convention in Connecticut this Saturday ( Comiconn). Caroline is going with him to sell her drawings at his table so stop by and say “Hi” if you are going. Then Sunday they are moving Ariel back to her college.
So today I have to pack up the stuff that Ariel was going to pack when she got home next week. That’s a chunk of the day. The other chunk will be puppet repair and reconstruction. I pulled the Doctors out of their box (yes, the box is blue) and they need a little work before going back into public. I also need to find the 6th Doctor who has run off somewhere but I have an idea where he is so that shouldn’t be a problem. I have to rebuild 1, 5, and 8 since I don’t have them.
Tomorrow I build puppets and Sunday I build and dress puppets. Always interesting. I did find some cloth I needed for the costumes that I thought I had lost. Once all the puppets are done, then I go onto the dolls or I just dump them this year and work on a few other things that could be cool to have. I do need to make two stuffed animals so those are before the dolls. So my table will be mostly soft sculpture this year.
I am also doing a panel on budget puppet making and need to finish up my rough examples for the crowd.
So that is where my brain is in puppet-land and it is a pretty happy place with an overlay of sheer panic.
I am grateful for the ability to put together puppets efficiently.

Nothing catastrophic on the large scale but a lot of little things that happened that makes me feel like I am being nibbled to death by ducks.
DragonCon stuff is moving forward but not at the rate I would like. I am about three days behind on where I wanted to be but then there are the ducks I am dealing with.
Had the possibility of another one show up yesterday afternoon. So I have to act as if it is going to happen so that I cannot be surprised when it does. Not that this wasn’t going to happen anyway, I was just expecting to have another week before it did.
Yes, things have been quiet here. And will probably continue to be until DragonCon is done this year. I have been reading other people’s web logs but not commenting much. So know that I am trying to keep up with y’alls lives and what has been going on so when I get back to it in September, I will not have to go back and read my way through so much to know what is going on. I wish health and wealth on my friends who are going through some rather tough times right now. Know that I am thinking for you.
My muse seems to have come back to the roost because I am full of ideas. Now let’s see how many I can execute this year. I have my puppet slam in and might even have a second piece in place. Waiting to hear on that. The 2nd piece would take two puppeteers and two stage flunkies to execute. The 1st piece I am short about 3 to 4 people on but hope to get that together by DragonCon.
Art show pieces are moving forward again not at the pace I would like. But nothing is moving at the pace I would like. Frustration abounds in the time department.
So today the project that cannot be named but is sucking my time like a ravenous deer tick and then….
I am grateful for the support I get at home.
