At least it is raining rather than snowing

Posted By on February 27, 2021

It is a soggy morning as the rain falls. On the plus side, the snow mountains are now hills.

Apparently, I didn’t post on Tuesday so I will save that entry for another time.

I have applied for an editorial job at Del Rey. I would really like to get it since it would be picking up from where I was eighteen years ago this time of the year. It would be a good fit for me, and I know I can knock it out of the park. There would be a certain serendipity to it all if it does happen. So, think good thoughts unless you have a connection at Del Rey and then could you put a good word in for me please.

I am still enjoying and appreciating the job I do have. It has the kind of challenges that I groove on. I also enjoy the customers. It is nice to help people create things and be able to give them advice on how execute an idea. I like the management team and my fellow workers. There is not a slacker in the bunch. Considering some of the retail jobs I have done over the years, this is heaven. The managers have confidence in the workers and that helps a lot.

Caroline is going to school five days a week and she is loving it. Most of the classes she signed up for do not work well remotely like wood shop, piano, and sculpting along with theater. She is taking a few AP courses as well that work OK remotely.

She worked very hard to get to this point and took extra classes to make her Senior year a fun one. COVID tried to get in the way, but she is still having fun.

And that is what a lot of people are doing, finding ways to do things in the time of COVID. Anything we can do to feel more normal that we can do safely is a good thing.

I am grateful for normal safe activities.
