RTBTCKI A Wang Doodle of a Headache

Posted By on October 30, 2020

I awoke to a pounding headache this morning. Not a migraine, thank goodness.

Don’t think it is dehydration but the pressure changes and my fall allergies.

We have wind and rain for most of the day. Right now we are under a gale warning and the wind outside is living up to the warning. I am hoping that my display will hold up.

Here are the decorations I made this year for our Halloween display.

The Monster over the door

(For the VI: This is placed above the front door. It is a monster of lime green fur with white pointy teeth, googly eyes and black eyebrows. There are hands on either side.)

This is version one of this idea. I have a revised concept I want to do before next Halloween.

Our mail carrier says he gets a chuckle every day from it.

Ghooooost

(For the VI: This is a white ghost with white hands and black eyes and smile)

I cribbed this one form one of my favorite episodes of the Muppet Show which was the one with Vincent Price. One of the musical numbers is a catchy tune entitled “I’m looking through you” by the Beatles with the Muppet ghost trio.

Today I am working on Peter’s costume. More on that next week.

Things I learned this week. The Elf on the Shelf has couture clothing to wear along with playsets and sidekicks. Caroline comment was, “I thought you were not supposed to touch it.” I think she is right, but that little elf is now its own industry. And those items sell fast.

It is nice to have a job again. It gives me a sense of self-worth that has been missing since I was let go by Del Rey eighteen years ago. I would love to have a job like that again, but it is hard to find those and get people to take a chance on me. I think my managers are happy that they took a chance on me and I am happy they did.

We have voted. I am glad to see that so many have already voted, and we still have four days until the elections. I want the people’s voices to be heard rather than the party machines or private interests. Power to the people.

I am grateful for clarity.
