Day 73 of the Homebound Saga

However, I think that Long Island is in phase one of re-opening so I am going to call it Day 1 of the Re-opening Epic.
It is Wednesday May 27, 2020.
Today would have been Harlan Ellison’s 86th Birthday.
I still miss him. I miss the banter. The phone calls with the odd characters he would create. I have a Harlan sized hole in my heart that has not healed. He thought of us as part of his extended family and we think of Susan and him as part of ours.
I am glad that he and Caroline got to know each other. The last time we saw him, he told her that he loved her very much. Caroline misses her Uncle Harlan. I think he would be impressed with the young lady she has become.
Happy Birthday Harlan, you are loved.
It is foggy outside this morning. That is supposed to clear up later.
Today is another day of cleaning since we got half-way through the first room on Monday. We know our plan of attack now we get to execute it. Then onto the next room. I do know that I don’t have to buy fun fur for a while.
There are a few other things that need to be done as well. I plan to start at Point A and work my way to B then C.
Or as Dora says, “Just keep swimming.”
I am going to pull out my Essential Ellison and read a few of my favorites today as well.
I am grateful I had Harlan in my life.
