Day 48 of the Homebound Saga Negative Test

When I went to my Doctor this past week, they did a COVID 19 test where it felt like I was tickling my brain to get a sample. They wanted to do the test for two reasons. The first being that I had some odd symptoms that have been linked to the virus and I would become a data point for Suffolk county that could be tracked.

It came back negative, so I have not had contact with the virus. I am very relieved to hear that. It means that Peter and Caroline are that much safer. Caroline had one at the beginning of all this and it came back negative. Peter has not been out of the house much at all and using precautions when out.

Now I have to keep it that way and I know how to do that.

Caroline will not be going back to her physical school this school year. She will do the remote classroom and finish up whatever projects that need to be done. This was on the governor’s orders for the state. This means she is home until September at the earliest. There is an adjustment to this that is being made.

Today I joined a bunch of friends online and we had our Art Salon. It was great to see what people are up to and how everyone is coping with what is happening around us. Tomorrow I am doing a table read of 12th night with some other friends because we want to. Next week I am rehearsing for my part in the Social Distancing Players for our production of Julius Caesar: Beware the Ides of March of the Penguins produced by Shakespeare Approves. I have been performing more during this time of the virus than I have in years.

I am grateful for the opportunities I have to be creative and silly with friends right now.
