Monday Morning Musings Back from Farpoint 2020

We got home in fairly good time over all with the Belt being our only big obstacle. Three out of four cats approved. The fourth came around before we went to bed. We had various cats sack out with us throughout the night.
I had a good show and sold more than half of what I put into the Art Show including the Toy Yoda. Aprons didn’t but a lot of people looked at them. And I was quite proud of how I levitated Doctor Strange.
I did get the puppet to Penny Johnson Jerald and she loved it. Thank you to Shannon and the convention committee for setting that up. Her husband is amazing too. They are a power couple. She grew up in Baltimore so she was able to see her family while there. She is a ray of sunshine and great with the fans.
On the left Dr. Clare Finn the puppet in her black and green outfit from the series the Orville and on the right is Penny Johnson Jerald looking right and laughing.
More on all this tomorrow during Crafty Tuesday.
I did a Doctor Who panel called The Doctor’s Report Card and most of the people in the room thought this was a better season and wanted to know what happened next. There is a big call for the Rani to come back. I agree with them. It will be interesting in how this season is going to wrap up.
I spent some time with friends but not as much or as many as I would like. Part of it had to do with energy the other part is time. We did get to spend time with our new friend who is the brilliant actor behind Shakespeare Approves and his lovely wife. It was nice getting to know both of them outside the RenFaire setting.
Honestly the time felt so short. Caroline pointed out that both Farpoint and Shoreleave are three day conventions where Friday is travel and getting one’s feet under them, Saturday is the convention proper, Sunday is the wind down and going home.
I do know that I packed property for this one. It was easy since it was only the convention rather than three conventions and Disney World. I was proud of how little we took with us.
Peter came up with an anthology entitled Resurrection which will be out next year through Crazy 8 press. I will have more information soon about that. Glenn has already come up with the cover. Caroline had figured out her story and I have mine almost sorted out. Peter has written his already.
This go ‘round of Sew-a-palooza, I completed everything for the Art Show before getting to the convention but not my personal puppets. That tells me that I need to get a go on everything now so I am ahead of the curve rather than waiting a bit. But there will be a clean-up from the previous projects before starting new projects which will begin with a commissioned piece. Then I need to do another pitch for my website to get more eyeballs in front of it.
Before the summer convention season I want to get flyers done for Peter’s Patreon account and my website. So that’s on the list.
I am grateful for all the lovely memories I made this weekend.
One more vote here for the Rani to return. My choice for the actress to play her ? Either Parminder Nagra (she proved she could play a villain in “Agents Of SHIELD””), or Emma Watson (that would certainly be a surprise).
