Pushing on Through

Posted By on January 11, 2019

The holiday season behind us or as Caroline calls December the month of presents is over.

Now with a new year we get back into our routines. This week is the first week in a while that Caroline has a five day school week. Next week is the same and then she has mid-terms for a week, which is also the snow week as we are calling it right now.

There are some weather patterns that may or may not dump snow in the area. Sunday was considered one of these but is now out of the picture for us as the front looks like it is moving north of us. Next weekend we are getting rain that is moving to snow and will be off and on until the following Friday. But again this could skip north or south of us and we just get more of the cold and wind that we currently are experiencing.

Today is laundry and larder. Not a big shop but we do need some things around the house especially perishables. Fruits, vegetables, and milk. We have bread and eggs and toilet paper so we are ready with our French toast kit. I also want to go to the fish store I trust and get some salmon.

I don’t think I am going to be buying Romaine lettuce any time soon.

I also need to go to the fabric store and start figuring out how I am making a puppet. I think I am going to be haunting the remnants section for what I need especially for the coat. Also I have some really good coupons.

Winter has arrived with the wind and cold that can chill you to the bone. I think I am done with my crocs outside of the house and back to my sneakers for the season. I have pulled out my heavier coat and gloves. Need to find my favorite scarf.

One foot in front of the other and one project in front of the other.

Keep moving forward is my motto this week and the next.

I am grateful for produce I can trust.
