Good-bye 2017! Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

Posted By on December 31, 2017

It was an interesting year for us.

Biggest event of the year was getting the tax lean off of our backs. That was thanks to fans, friends, family, and artwork. It was Eric Larsen who gave us the solution to fill in the gap between the go fund me and the amount we needed. I was able to thank him for that at NYCC this year.

We went to a lot of conventions and made new friends while catching up with old friends.

I made a number of puppets that I gave to actors and the like.

I finally got two puppets to their owners that have been waiting for a while. My worktable is clear for the first time in a while. Not that I don’t have ideas for what I want to do next but there is no pressure there.

Writing has been hit or miss for me for many reasons. I have a couple of things I needed to get done and a couple I want to get done. Right now I am not pushing anything trying to give myself some regroup time.

We lost my mother-in-law this year along with a number of friends and acquaintances. My theater family took a number of big hits in that department this year.

We saw films, read books and comic books, watched TV, and did our fannish things. We said good-bye to the 13th Doctor and welcomed the 14th. Marvel movies were kick-ášš. Wonder Woman proved that a female superhero can carry a film. Coco hit us in the feelings. Star Wars was enjoyable.

We had our good days and our bad days. Pretty much like any other year.

Wishing all my readers the best for 2018. May it prove better than its predecessor for all of us.

I am grateful to everyone who helped us in 2017.
