TWO WEEKS to DragonCon 2011

And there are pictures behind the cut.
I had a couple of nightmares about my sewing machine last night. Also yesterday evening my seam ripper went MIA. I have looked everywhere including under the cats. (The other morning I couldn’t fin my glasses. I looked everywhere for them and was starting to go through all the places it would be odd for them to be. I checked the kitchen and came back into the living room. Stalin the cat stood up and meowed at me. He stepped off the pillow he had been sitting on and low and behold there were my glasses which had been under him the entire time I had been looking for them.)
I have to bite the bullet and move onto the mystery project even though that is going to be a real PITA to create but if I do it right, it will be a thing of beauty. Need to start with the body and then the head since the head is giving me 6 types of fits right now.
So this morning is finishing Charles’ jacket then onto the big old project.
Peter and Caroline are having a lot of fun. I get photos and short videos of things they are doing. Today is the big day for the recording of the Young Justice episode.
I am grateful for cloth stores that have what I need on hand.
Castiel in all his glory. I have beard stubble and wings to do for him to be totally done but this is his basic look.
(For the Visually Impaired. The Castiel puppet with a white shirt, blue tie, charcoal jacket and light brown trenchcoat with all its buttons and straps in place. The puppet is on a stand so it can stand up.)
Erik Lensherr aka Magneto in his First Class uniform. Have to do the harness and the helmet for him to be totally done but this gives you the idea.
(For the Visually Impaired. The puppet is sitting on my striped couch. His uniform is yellow and blue with different textures to the blues. At his “elbows” are black arm pads. He has brown hair and blue eyes.)
Charles Xavier’s aka Professor X’s outfit all cut out on my ironing board. This is the next thing to be sewing up.
(For the Visually Impaired: My ironing board with (from the bottom of the picture to the top) his right sleeve, a yellow panel then a blue panel then a yellow panel then a blue panel and then a yellow panel of fabric, his left sleeve. On the left is his collar. The top of the picture is various pattern pieces and sewing supplies)
You have inspired me to make a supernatural set, possibly a batman.
