RTBTCKI Jacket is eating my brain edition

Posted By on July 28, 2011

35 days to DragonCon. Almost got everything cut out. I stopped last night when I realized that there was a good chance I was going to get it wrong and waste fabric. Today is finish cutting and get that jacket mostly done. Then I need to start on the pants. My goal is by Saturday to have the uniform mostly done.

Weather had been odd. Not impossibly hot but not quite comfortable outside. There is just an oppressive feeling when you walk out the front door.

Mets won again even without Beltran. He will be missed but at least they didn’t go into a slump when he left the clubhouse.

Football is a mess. And the younger players are going to resent the heck out of the current crop of big money makers for screwing it up for them down the road. The owners basically got most of what they wanted. The only thing I see good for the players is healthcare after their playing days are over and they seriously need that.

LJ finally admitted that they were under attack yet again. They are trying to compensate but it seems like the downtime is getting worse. At least they admitted to something that most of us figured out two days ago.

I am on Google+ but I am being very limited in how I am using it now.

In the current issue of Entertainment Weekly in the Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig interview, there is a sidebar for a movie that Peter wrote for Full Moon called Oblivion. The running gag around the house has been “Cowboys vs. Aliens or as we like to call it Oblivion.” It is nice to see it get a mention. It is coming out on DVD with new artwork on the cover.

Off to cut and sew fabric.

I am grateful for neoprene.
