RTBTCKI (15 Days until Christmas 2009)

Posted By on December 10, 2009

And Hanukah starts Friday evening as well. And 11 days to Yule.

In terms of gifts, we’re all prepared or will be shortly. In terms of decorations, I am woefully behind on putting out the lights. I may have to just bundle up and deal with the cold that is not that cold unless the wind is blowing which it is doing pretty consistently.

Peter is off on another business trip this week. It was sort of last minute but will probably be one of the more interesting trips he is taking this year (and he has been on some pretty cool trips this year). Caroline and I are sorting out what needs to be done and what we want to do. I know that today I do need to go to the grocery store and the local library to return books and possibly pick up some as well. I also need to use Peter’s copy machine to get some stuff done that I need to copy.

Then there is the on spec project that I want to get done before Peter gets back but I have to do some research to get my pitch together. More on that if I get it and can talk about it.

I really liked “Prep and Landing” the other day. It goes on the good Christmas programs to watch during this season. And how much fun was “Glee”? I will miss watching it but I appreciate how far they have advanced the plot in the past couple of episodes. I want to see Sue’s tan. Can she tan or will she melt in the sun due to the ice water in her veins? We saw Charlie Brown and Grinch so my season is now in swing.

My creative side is nibbling at my brain. I need to do something to get it to go back to sleep for a bit. I’m thinking stuffed animals or stuffed monsters. I have an idea of something I want to do now I just need to do it. Then there are all the back burner projects that have been running through my head.

I guess I should stop being surprised at how various forms of fandom keep kneecapping themselves to the general population. And I am getting tired of the pattern fight that is still going after 4 months on one of the doll groups. I honestly might drop it because my delete key is getting more of a workout than reading the board which may be a sign to give it up. Also Ball Joint Dolls are Dolls! And should be able to be discussed in doll groups without someone getting all worked up about the cost of the doll. Considering what some collectable dolls go for, a BJD is a drop in the bucket. But these dolls are being equated to very expensive Barbies in most groups and we don’t talk about Barbie for some strange reason.

I am grateful that my mind is so active.
