FoolsCap 11 Day 1

In which I saw a lot of the city but not much of the convention.
Thanks to my friend Janna, Caroline and I were able to go around Seattle a bit. We went to the top of the Space Needle which was really neat. The interactive exhibits were interesting too. You do get a lot of bang for your buck. We also went to the Seattle’s Children’s Museum where Caroline was fascinated by the Japan set up and played there for quite a while.
The convention has been nice from what I have seen of it. This is Caroline’s first convention without Ariel. At DragonCon she spent most of her time at my parents or with her relatives. Here she just has Peter and me and I think she is sorting out how this works because she doesn’t have big sister to spend time with. I am sorting it out too since attending panels yesterday just wasn’t happening. The three of us had a long talk last night about behavior in public and not repeating the same request a 100 times after being told No because No is the end of it. Now we see how much sunk in.
Today there are some panels I was to see. Peter is on a few as well being the GoH and all. I want to go hear his speech this afternoon but it depends on Caroline’s behavior.
I am grateful for all we saw yesterday.
