RTBTCKI (The San Diego 2009 Edition)

And no, I am not in San Diego but that’s as far as my brain will fire at this point.
Lousy sleep last night last night with various things including cats waking me up about very 40 minutes. I think part of it is that I am so use to sleeping with my husband that my pattern is off when he is not around.
Peter has been checking in but he is very busy at the convention. He gives me the occasional update usually while he is sprinting to his next obligation. Today is his really busy day which is amazing considering how busy he has been the past couple of days.
Caroline, Ariel and I went to see G-Force yesterday. It was silly fun with a couple of jokes that were put in there to keep the adults amused. I am surprised how dark they let it get for a while. I had Caroline asking why a character that she thought was a good guy was being so mean to everyone and since I didn’t know the film I really couldn’t answer her. It all turned out in the end but we did have kids crying at a couple of points when they thought some really bad stuff had happened. The 3-D is used to its advantage but nothing that screams it HAS to be seen in 3-D. So good film for kids but expect to have to explain some gray areas in morality.
I am thinking about DragonCon a lot. Today I want to get three bodies built so I can start on the project at hand. I do need to do some internet searching for some info but I think today is going to be puppet making and repair day. I at least want to get some of the things that need to be glued done so they have lots of time to dry before I need them. Part of the problem is the humidity makes the glue setting up take twice as long and paint drying takes longer too.
It is kind of scary when the baseball team you follow is already talking a lot about what they are going to do next year. We are not so far in that they are totally out but this attitude seems to be in the clubhouse and on the radio. Padres are out of it being 23.5 back of the Dodgers.
We just had a nice video chat with Peter. I love that the girls have a videophone and they can see and hear their daddy in (almost) real time. For Caroline this sort of thing is perfectly normal since she has been talking to my parents via iChat for a very long time. For me it feels a little more impressive because I can talk to people anywhere through my computer.
Yes, the rumors are true. That guy who bore a striking resemblance to Robert Downey Jr. on the floor of San Digeo Comic Con was the real genuine article. He was walking around and enjoying the con. A number of people thought it was just a guy who looked a lot like the actor and told him he should dress up as Tony Stark because he looked the part. I bet he got a good giggle out of that. He presented a piece on Sherlock Holmes to the fans and today will probably be on the Iron Man panel.
I am grateful that Peter is having fun out in San Diego and we are having fun here as well.
