DiscWorld Dolls Day 5: Kneading more time

Posted By on March 29, 2009

Basically I got the clay ready for Magrat and that was about it. I had a couple of things that needed to be attended to around the house and that took up most of my day. So today I want to get a lot further than I did yesterday. By the end of the day I want to get everyone sculpted and start to paint which is a process in itself.

I did have fun bowling in the Pro/Am. My scores were not the best. With a 123 listed average from last year I bowled a 104, 121 and a 174. However we did get to bowl with some pretty nifty pros including Rhino Page, Todd Book, Randy Weiss, Ken Simard, Eddie Vandaniker Jr and this guy

The Living Legend himself, Walter Ray Williams Jr with the David Family.

Walter Ray is considered the 2nd best bowler in the entire history of the PBA. Ðìçk Weber is number one but he is no longer with us. His son, Peter Weber, is also on the list of the top 50 bowlers of all times. PDW, as he is called, was at this event so Peter finally got a chance to talk to him for a little bit.

All the pros were fun to bowl with. Rhino gave Ariel some good advise about how to get her ball into the pocket. We were the third squad and there was no oil on the lanes so we all had a deadly hook or rather a deadly over hook. I sorted out my game by the 3rd game. It was no tap (no tap is you get a strike if on your first ball you leave one pin standing) but most of my strikes were, as Peter likes to call them, Big Girl Strikes.

All in all, I had a fun time. Now back to the dolls.

I am grateful that I did stick my courage to the sticking place and bowl in the Pro/Am.
