Off to LunaCon 2009

Posted By on March 20, 2009

LunaCon is a science fiction convention that has been around for a while. I started going because I was working for Del Rey. I now go because a bunch of my friends go and it reminds me of a ChattaCon or a LibertyCon or a KublaKhan. It has that family feel with lots of people who read books. The costume call is usually good and the first pass for some at costumes that eventually go to World Con.

I have objects for the art show. I have the forms to fill out before I go so I have everything ready to go when I am there. I have panels of various kinds to participate in. All I have to do now is make sure the larder is stocked for the family and pack. Laundry is done so that is out of the way. I figure I will be leaving this afternoon after Peter and Ariel get back from their short trip to NJ today.

There are a few things I need to do before leaving. Most of it housekeeping for some stuff I promised various people. Which I plan to do before I leave. I need to find our small DVD player and see if I can dub something off to the large DVD recorder. I need to put pictures onto a disk for a friend (waves at Kim). And I am trying to remember if I owe something else to anyone else at this time.

I am grateful for opportunities of all sorts that seem to be showing up on our door step.
