To My Husband on the Occasion of our 8th Wedding Anniversary

Posted By on May 26, 2009

Dear Peter,

Hard to believe it has been eight years since I walked down the aisle in front of our friends and family and joined you in marriage. It seems like a long time and a short time all at once. I have very clear memories of that day and then there are other things that are a blur. The one thing that will never leave my minds eye is the look of pure love on your face as I walked towards you. I still see that look in your eyes when you look at me. I know I am loved and I love in return.

A lot has happened in those eight years. We have had our ups and downs, our good times and bad, our sickness and health but all through this, you have been by my side. You have supported me in many ways. You have encouraged me to become a better person and takes chances I would probably have not taken if you hadn’t believe in me so strongly. You have given me opportunities to do things that I could only dream of when I was younger.

You gave me Caroline and for that I will never be able to thank you enough. I can’t imagine my life without her anymore. She is growing up so fast and blossoming into a wonderful human being. I watch you read to her, play with her, explain the world to her and I watch her fall asleep on your lap with not a care in the world. She loves us and feels safe with us and knows we will take care of her. You are such a good father to all your daughters. I am proud that you are the father to our daughter.

I love you and am proud to be your wife.

Love,
Kath
