I went to see “Stick It” with Peter yesterday. It was by the same writer as ‘Bring it on’ which was a really good movie about the cut-throat world of cheerleading. This one had the same sort of premise but you substitute gymnastics for cheerleading but this one also had a lot more to it over all. It also exposes the savage underbelly of gymnastics and the judging system for the sport. Good movie for the tween set since there is no sex and minimal language which is very nice. Ariel is gathering a few buddies to go see it today.
Ariel and I also attacked the fabric sale again and found some nice stuff for her that we are now going to make. I got a few more patterns to add to my collection of patterns. I just may be able to pull off a costume I have wanted to make for years. If I did it I don’t think I would enter it because it would take too much explanation but I bet if I just wore it as a hall costume those who know the series would get it unless it was an anime con with older participants.
Caroline got up at 6:10 this morning. She did obey the rules that she is not allowed out of her room until the sun is well up but it was an early morning for me. Coffee is not quite kicking in for me this morning.
I am grateful for fabric finds.
